I am a seminary dean (Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary), former music professor (Goshen College), piano player, reader and writer, mother of two daughters, and spouse of a carpenter/auto restorer. I grew up near Philadelphia, PA and now live in Goshen, Indiana.
I started this blog to reflect on my attempt to learn all 24 preludes and fugues in J.S. Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier Book One. I did eventually get all those pieces under my hands, and learned a lot in the process. This blog has now turned into more general musings on a variety of topics.

Beverly, I knew your mother at EMU and related to her because I’m a Longenecker too. I remember your sweet mom as brave and strong and so very wise. I know you miss her. Blessings and comfort to you! π
